Council of Science Editors (CSE) Formatting Guide: Council of Science Editors 9th Edition (CSE) N-Y Citation Style

CSE 9th Edition Name-Year Style

Formatting Citations in CSE 9th Edition

Your lab report's works cited page and in-text citations should be formatted using the CSE Name-Year system. If your instructor requires you to use the 9th edition (released May 2024), this is the page you should reference. The print version of the 9th edition is available at the Library from the Information Desk for in-building use (call # T11.C68 2024). For commonly accepted abbreviated journal titles, see the next tab which provides several sources you can consult to determine these.
